Also avoid driving when you are tired, not feeling well or angry because this can decrease your concentration when driving. To overcome tiredness, pull off the road for some exercise and fresh air or have a cup of coffee. Take a break until you feel more alert.

Follow road rules. Violation of traffic rule is punishable, always know the rules. Always wear your seatbelt, and wear it correctly. Drive at the speed limit, know the road speed limit. Remember to stop, look and listen. Use the road signs, its also helps to know the condition of the road. It usually says if the road slippery when its raining, construction on progress or maybe accident prone area. So always be alert.

Don't do anything when driving. Don't use cellphones, eat or drink while driving, or anything that might distract you when driving. If you really need to answer any calls, pull over in a safe place.

Car Maintenance. A responsible drive need to have a well maintained car. Its important to make sure your car is in good condition, a regular check up is important.
