Recommended Websites Car Window Tint Care and Maintenance If you just purchased a brandnew automobile with window tint, or recently had the windows on your vehicle tinted, follow these simple tips to ensure that they will last for a long time. Caring for your automobile window does not necessitate too much time and effort. Drying. A new car window tint will take for about 3-5 days to fully dry. Make sure that it is dry before cleaning touching or cleaning. During the summer season, the film dries very quick, but in the colder winter month it might take longer. For the first few days after your windows are tinted, it may appear hazy or lumpy and may seem to have water bubbles. It is just normal. Do not to roll your windows down for those bubbles will simply evaporate and disappear. Cleaning. Once the car window tint is already dry, proceed to cleaning your windows. It is highly recommended to clean your window tint with a soft clean cloth or soft paper towel. Do not use scratchy or hard materials and any chemicals with ammonia, harsh, or abrasive chemicals. Instead, utilize an alcohol-based cleaner or plain water to clean your car window tint. Without the proper care and maintenance, your car window tint will wipe down. Scratches. Most car window films have durable scratch-resistant coating, but this doesn't mean that it is scratch-proof. Always be careful not to scratch it with metal objects such as seat belt buckles, car keys, watches and jewelries. It might snap into the glass and cause little chips in the window film. This is usually not covered by warranty. Take care of loading items with metals or hard pointed objects. Always clean the gasket and the glass. Automotive
